Haden MacLellan Holdings
Manufacturer of plant for paint spraying
1987 P. and W. MacLellan, an agricultural parts supplier, was taken over by entrepreneur Philip Ling, who had earlier been MD of Haden[1]. The company then acquired Haden Group in a reverse take-over and Haleworth Holdings, both private companies. The new group would be known as Haden MacLellan Holdings.
Made several acquisitions and disposals.
1988 Acquired Isovel Group, specialist air conditioning manufacturer[2]
1988 Acquired Butterley Engineering and 5 companies from Williams Holdings[3]
1990 Acquired Smith Engineering. Developed Drypure, a paint waste recycling system, which proved to be a disappointment commercially[4]
1994 Subsidiary Haleworth Holdings transferred Bowers and Jones Ltd, Bradford Metal Works Ltd and Petrie Technologies Ltd to another subsidiary of Haden MacLellan Holdings[5]
1996 Acquired Industrial Fastener Supplies[6]
1998 Acquired MBS Distribution, specialist distributor of fasteners[7]
1999 Continued fall in business for its painting systems, process engineering and fasteners[8]
2000 Haden MacLellan Holdings was renamed Infast Group plc
2005 Haden Drysys was declared insolvent[9]
2006 Haden MacLellan Ltd was voluntarily wound-up[10]
