1968 Hawker Siddeley took over Crompton Parkinson
1970 Hawker Siddeley acquired Brook Motors with the support of the Industrial Reorganisation Corporation[2].
1973 The companies were brought together under Brook Crompton Parkinson Motors[3], as the management company.
1979 The existing subsidiary of Hawker Siddeley, Jowett Engineering, was renamed Hawker Siddeley Electric Motors.
1990 Name changed to Brook Crompton
1991 BTR Industries acquired Hawker Siddeley
1991-3 BTR acquired other internationally-known names in electromechanical drives and controls including gear manufacturers Hansen Transmissions, Prager and Stephan Werke.
1996 The name of Brook Crompton International was changed to Brook Hansen International; its business was the export of electric motors and control gear.
1999 Merger of BTR and Siebe; Brook Hansen was split into motors companies and gear companies. The gear companies were aligned with the Rexnord group and the electric motors companies became known as Invensys Brook Crompton.
Now part of the Lindeteves-Jacoberg Group; once more known as Brook Crompton.
