The Automobilette was, with the Bedelia, one of the first French cyclecars.
Early models had 6/8hp 2-cylinder engines of Automobilette's own manufacture, belt final drive and tandem seating with driver at the rear. A monocar was also offered. For 1914 a 6hp Anzani engine was available and also a 10hp 4-cylinder Automobilette engine: these models still used belt drive, but shortly before the outbreak of World War 1 a true light car was produced, using the 4-cylinder engine, shaft drive and side-by-side seating. Post-war Automobilettes used pro-prietary engines, the ohv 1,095cc Ruby or the sv 1,243cc Altos. [1]
