1993 ICI separated its pharmaceutical bioscience divisions from the rest of the group. The pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, specialities, seeds and biological products were grouped in a new company called Zeneca.
1999 Zeneca merged with Astra AB to form AstraZeneca, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
