c1825 Born the son of James Watts, Engineer, and his wife Rebecca Wiseman

1841 Living at Faith's Lane, Norwich: James Watts (age c36), Engineer. With Rebecca Watts (age c36); William Watts (age c25); Charles Watts (age c12); Alfred Watts (age c7); and Frederick Watts (age c5 months).[1]

1861 Living at 1 Bloomsbury Place, Rose Lane, Norwich: William W. Watts (age 37 born Norwich), Engine Smith. With his wife Harriett Watts (age 37 born Norwich) and their five children; Alice E. Watts (age 14 born Norwich); Maria L. Watts (age 12 born Norwich); James J. Watts (age 10 born Norwich); William C. Watts (age 7 born Stratford, Essex); and Florence R. Watts (age 10 months born Norwich). One servant.[2]
