Wholesale wine, spirit and tea merchants, distillers and whisky blenders and exporters, 36 Regent Quay, Aberdeen

1840 Established by William Williams

1876 The firm's name was changed to William Williams and Sons

1878 The firm received diplomas of merit at the Paris World's Fair and a prize medal at the London International Exhibition in 1884 for the quality of their blended whisky

1897 The Glendullan Distillery was built, the last of seven distilleries built in Dufftown

1899 The business was incorporated as a limited company, William Williams and Sons Limited

1919 The company merged to form Macdonald, Greenlees and Williams (Distillers) Limited. The company went into liquidation in 1926 with the assets being acquired by the Distillers Co.
