1878 The firm received diplomas of merit at the Paris World's Fair and a prize medal at the London International Exhibition in 1884 for the quality of their blended whisky
1897 The Glendullan Distillery was built, the last of seven distilleries built in Dufftown
1899 The business was incorporated as a limited company, William Williams and Sons Limited
1919 The company merged to form Macdonald, Greenlees and Williams (Distillers) Limited. The company went into liquidation in 1926 with the assets being acquired by the Distillers Co.
2021 The Glendullan Distillery still operates, after considerable reconstruction, as part of the portfolio of Scottish distilleries owned by Diageo
