1855 'English Patents Sealed During Week Ending Sept. 8, 1855 .... Dated May 7, 1855.- William Weild of Manchester, machinist, for improvements in looms or machinery for weaving pile fabrics
1859 Patent No. 2139 for a method of cutting flutes in fluting rollers, inclined to the axis of the roller [2]
1860 William Weild, Atlas Works, Manchester[3]
1873 Death notice: On the 7th inst., suddenly, at his residence, Summerhill, Shandon, Garloch, N. B., William Weild, Esq., engineer, Longsight, aged 59 years. [4]
