WILLIAM TAYLOR of Oldham was managing director of Messrs. Buckley and Taylor of that town, manufacturers of cotton mill plant, marine engines, hydraulic pumps, etc. This firm was founded in 1861 by his father, Mr. James Taylor, and Mr. Samuel Buckley.
He commenced his apprenticeship with the firm in 1881 and remained with them for the whole of his career.
He was born at Oldham in 1864 and died on 14th February 1932.
He was elected a Member of the Institution in 1925.
