Mr William Marlow Evans (Member) died recently aged 62. Educated in Birmingham, William Evans became a pupil at the [[Lanchester Motor Co]] in 1924. He joined the Engine Division of the [[Bristol Aeroplane Co]]. in 1929 as Technical Assistant and Quality Manager. Always interested in engine testing and development, Evans became Experimental Manager and later Experimental Engineer in control of all ground and flight development of the Bristol series of aero engines. Mr William Marlow Evans (Member) died recently aged 62. Educated in Birmingham, William Evans became a pupil at the Lanchester Motor Co in 1924. He joined the Engine Division of the Bristol Aeroplane Co. in 1929 as Technical Assistant and Quality Manager. Always interested in engine testing and development, Evans became Experimental Manager and later Experimental Engineer in control of all ground and flight development of the Bristol series of aero engines. This was at a time of intense activity during the war.
