1899 February. Died. 'The late Mr. William Hooton, whose funeral takes place to-day in the General Cemetery, was a highly respected employer, and the employees of the Continental works are going to follow the funeral. Many of the men have been at the works for periods varying from twenty thirty years.'[2]
