1879 Born in Bradford the son of Henry Glaser, Cloth Merchant, and his wife Mary Ann Haigh
Educated at Bradford Grammar School and Cambridge University
1903 Invented textile slide rule,
Numerous patents.
1909-11 Chief Asst. Engr. of Henry Simon Ltd., Manchester
1911 Boarder at 35 Station Road Cheadle Hulme: William Henry Glaser (age 31 born Bradford), Electrical and Mechanical Engineer - Technical Staff of Flour Milling Engineers - Unmarried.[1]
1915 for short time with Hans Renold, Ltd. as Engineering Director's Personal Assistant.
WWI technical position in the R.A.F.
In business on own account as experimental engineer
1927 Patent with C. A. Vandervell and Co relating to regulators for dynamo-run machines
1931 Vandervells became C. A. V. - Bosch
1939 Chief Research Engineer of C. A. V. - Bosch, Ltd., Warple Way, Acton, London, W.C.
