William Frederick Gooch (1825-1915)

1825 April 19th. Born the 5th son (and 10th Child) of John Gooch of Bedlington and his wife Anna the daughter of Thomas Longridge of Newcastle.

1852 December. Married Emma Brent the daughter of Captain James E. Biles

1857 Became manager of Swindon Works

1861 Living at Factory Superintendent's House, Swindon (age 35 born Bedlington), Civil Engineer. With his wife Emma B. (age 25 born Hackney) and their son Arthur (age 4 born newton Abbott, Devon). Also his sister-in-law Elisa Biles (age 26 born Hackney). Also a visitor and three servants. [1]
