WILLIAM FLETCHER died on November 27, 1902, at the age of sixty-five years. He was associated for many years with the Eagle Foundry, Salford, and took an active part in promoting the scheme for the Manchester Ship Canal, in the movement of which he was one of the pioneers.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1885.
