1906 'At the Liverpool Polk* Court, yesterday, William White, jun. (39). managing director of White's Carriage Company, Ltd., was charged with forging and uttering a cheque for £7,125'[2]

1906 'At Liverpool Assizes yesterday Wm. White, 28, managing director of White's Carriage Co., was sentenced to five years' penal servitude; and Frederick Thomas Ross, 54, agent, to nine months’ hard labour for the forging..'[3]
