1960 Acquired Thomas Bradford and Co, laundry engineers of Salford; [3]

1961 The Thomas Bradford plant was moved to Clifton; the lubricants activity was closed[4]. Acquired Holgate, Fishwick and Leather, which was in the same type of business, and the Les-Val Corporation of USA, with which the US subsidiary W. P. Evans and Son was already associated[5]

1963 Acquired F. E. Callow (Engineers) makers of automated plant for the bulk handling of cattle food, flour, plastics, and chemicals[6]
