1808 Advert: 'WESTGATE-FOUNDRY, WAKEFIELD,
JOSEPH HUMBLE,
Iron and Brass Founder, and Steam Engine Manufacturer,
BEGS leave to inform his Friends and the Public in general, that he has extended, and is very much improving, his Works Upon Westgate Common, Wakefield, where he casts and fits up all kinds of Brass and Iron Goods, Mill-Work, and Machinery.
J. H. can, at the same time, assure them, that any Orders they may favour him with for STEAM ENGINES, Will be punctually attended to and executed on the best construction, with the latest improvements, and in a manner which, he trusts, will not be surpassed by anyone.
To superintend his Works, he has lately engaged Mr. J. ROUTLEDGE, whose abilities as an Engineer are well known.
