1845 Presumably this business was taken over by his elder son, [[Robert West (1826-1901)|Robert]], after his father's death - [[Robert West]]
 
Subsequently the business may have become [[West Brothers and Co]], when Robert's brother, [[John West (1828-1863)|John]] reached his maturity.
 
Then [[Henry Gregson]] became a partner and the firm became [[West and Gregson]]
 
1851 West and Gregson exhibited model meter for gas works at 1851 Exhibition.
 
c.1852 At some point Robert left the business
 
c.1863 After the death of Mr Gregson and Mr. John West, Mrs. West continued the business for herself and children.

1845 Presumably this business was taken over by his elder son, Robert, after his father's death - Robert West

Subsequently the business may have become West Brothers and Co, when Robert's brother, John reached his maturity.
