Weeks-Dungey
Maker of motor ploughs and the New Simplex Model tractor at Maidstone, Kent.
1915 Weeks-Dungey established around this time when William Weeks and Son built a tractor for Mr. Dungey, a local fruit and hop grower. [1]
The first Weeks-Dungey tractors were fitted with a four-cylinder engine at the front and a large cylindrical water tank (hopper) at the rear next to the driver's seat. [2]
1918 Built the New Simplex model using a Waukesha Engine from Wisconsin and a 3-speed gear-box from the Detroit Gear Engineering Co. [3]
1919 A Weeks-Dungey tractor took part in agricultural trials. See The Engineer 1919/10/17 page 379 for details.
It is thought that only 220 were built. [4]
1925 Production ended. [5]
