1854 A junction was made with the St. Helens Railway at their joint station in Warrington.
1858 The Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway planned to take a lease on the Warrington and Stockport Railway[1]
1864 The St. Helens Railway was taken over by the London and North Western Railway.
