1868 Born the son of John Newton Mappin

1911 Living at Castle Glen, Sandgate, Folkestone: Walter J. Mappin (age 42 born Tunbridge Wells), Chairman of Mappin and Webb - Employer. With his wife Mildred H. Mappin (age 35 born Great Berkhampstead) with their daughter Audrey Mappin (age 7 born Potter's Bar). Also his niece Phyllis Mappin (age 8 born India). Married sixteen years with three children. Six servants.[1]
