1884 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Eliza Gorse and Arthur Edmund Gorse, carrying on business as Nail, Nail Machine, and Bicycle Manufacturers, at American Works, Icknield-square, Birmingham, in the county of Warwick, under the style or firm of W. Gorse and Son, has been this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by the said firm will be received and paid by the said Eliza Gorse, who will in future carry on business on her own account, at the address aforesaid, as a Nail Manufacturer, under the style or firm of W. Gorse and Son, and the said Arthur Edmund Gorse will in future carry on business on his own account, at Cromwell Works, Rutland-road, Edgbaston, in the said county of Warwick, as a Nail Machine and Bicycle Manufacturer, in his own name...'[1]
