1910 The Vulcan Fellowship in Engineering had been established at the Victoria Univeristy, Manchester; Mr G. W. Worrall reported, to the IEE in Birmingham, the results of study on commutation in electrical motors[4].
1920 Acquired by London Assurance[5].
1952 A profit of £100k was "credited entirely" to the Vulcan Boiler and General Enterprize (sic) Co by London Assurance[6].
