1961 Lost a bid for Sterling Industries in face of cash offered by Cayzer interests[6]

1969 Agreement to merge with Brecknell, Dolman and Rogers (BDR), both having interests in food processing machinery and vending equipment; Vokes issued its shares to Brecknell shareholders[8]; subsequently found problems with conversion of existing vending machines to accept decimal coinage[9]
1971 Continued problems with BDR led to factory closure at Bristol[10]
1972 Problems at BDR continued; Thomas Tilling made a take-over bid[11] which was accepted.
1973 Highland Electronics acquired Brecknell Redcliffe from Vokes[12]
1974 Sold Cardwell Machine, UK to Swedish Match[13]
2000 Vokes Filtration was acquired by Mcleod Russel Holdings, the filtration company[14]
