1879 Partnership dissolved. '... the undersigned, Frank Turton and Thomas Bright Matthews, carrying on business at Sheffield, in the county of York, as File and Steel Manufacturers, under the style or firm of Turton Brothers and Matthews, was, on the 29th day of July, 1879, dissolved by mutual consent; and that the said business will be continued by the said Thomas Bright Matthews on his own account, under the same style or firm...'[1]

1925 Mr George Bradshaw was appointed to the board of the company. He was for many years before manager of the firm's Spring Works in Neepsendlane.[5]
