1846 Partnership change. '... the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, James Turner, Robert Parkinson, John Hayhurst, and Charles Walmsley, as Millwrights, Engineers, and Iron and Brass Founders, carrying on business at Blackburn, in the county of Lancaster, under the firm of Turner, Parkinson, and Company, has been dissolved, as on and from the 29th day of August last, by mutual consent; and that all debts owing to and by the said late partnership are to be received and paid by the said Robert Parkinson, and his present partner, Mr. Henry Smithies, by whom the said business will in future be carried on, under the firm of Parkinson and Smithies...'[1]
