Christ's College, Cambridge, First Class Mechanical Sciences Tripos, 1909. Advanced workshop student, Royal Arsenal, Woolwich. Assistant Manager with Gwynnes, Ltd., Hammersmith Ironworks; work connected with all branches of hydraulic engineering. War Services.—Served with the British Expeditionary Force, France, 1915-18, and in Germany, 1919.
