1902 Trafford Park Power and Light Supply (1902) Ltd formed to take over the undertaking and assets of Trafford Park Power and Light Supply Ltd as from 30 Sept 1901, including the power station and the rights to use in the works Dr Ludwig Mond's patents on fuel gas with the manufacture of ammonia sulphate and the debts due to W. T. Glover and Co in connection with construction of the power station[1]. This was said to be the first company formed in the UK with the primary object of distributing cheap power over an industrial area.
