Thomas Rose (1809-1874)

Thomas Rose was born in 1809, and was for many years connected with the iron and coal trades of the South Staffordshire district, being one of the proprietors of the Bradley Iron Works, near Bilston.
After retiring from these works he was for the latter part of his life connected only with the coal trade of North Wales.
He died at his residence in Wolverhampton on 13th June 1874 at the age of 64, after a protracted and very painful illness. He became a Member of the Institution in 1866.
