With his wife Eliza Pemberton (age 41 born Middlesex) and their three children; George Arthur Pemberton (age 29 born Birmingham); Mary Elizth Pemberton (age 23 born Birmingham); and Katherine Pemberton (age 22 born Birmingham). Three servants.[1]

In our obituary to-day we record the demise Thomas Pemberton. Esq., the head of the firm in the brassfoundry trade which bears his name; if we mistake not, it is the oldest house the town this branch of our manufactures.
Mr. Pemberton was one of the first appointed magistrates of this borough after the Charter Incorporation was obtained; he was also one of the first directors the Birmingham Company, and continued as an active member the Board to the last.
Of a character naturally unobtrusive, Mr. Pemberton has not for many years taken a more active part the public affairs of the town than was necessary the discharge of his duties as a Magistrate; but in the social circle no man was more highly esteemed, for his kindly and generous disposition had gathered about him life-long friends? whilst all who had business transactions with him were ever ready to acknowledge his high sense of honour, and a loftiness of nature, which repelled as by instinct everything that was mean or paltry business concerns.
Mr. Pemberton has died the age of 73, leaving behind him a character which his descendants may justly proud.
