Thomas Gilbert Sorby (1887-1966), only son of Thomas William Sorby, managing director of Thomas Sorby and Sons

1911 Living at Southfield, Ranmoor, Sheffield: Thomas G. Sorby (age 24 born Sheffield), Iron and Steel Merchant. With his widow mother Paulina, and two sisters.[1]

1928 Elected Master Cutler.[2]

1939 Living at Bubnell Hall, Bakewell, Iron and Steel Merchant, with Dorothea Sorby.[3]
