Theophilus Burton (c1809-1898)

1840 Founder of Proctor and Burton

1851 Living at Waterside South, Lincoln (age 42 born S. Leverton, Notts), Blacksmith. With wife Harriet, five children and a nephew. [1]

1857 Sold his share in the business to Joseph Ruston when he joined Proctor and Burton.

1871 Living at Morton Carr, Gainsborough (age 60 born Leverton, Notts), Farmer of 23 acres. With wife Harriet (age 63) and children Elizabeth (age 28) and Jonathan (age 26) plus grand-daughter Emma (age 10) [2]

1898 Died aged 89. Of Markham Moor. [3]
