'Excellent pair of Cornish valve horizontal winding engines, 32in. cylinders, 5ft. stroke, with verticals for flat rope, drum 13(?)ft. with all brakes, complete, by Daglish and Co. Another splendid pair of horizontal winding engines, 26in. cylinders, 5(?)ft, stroke, lagged drum, 14ft. for round rope, slide valves, all complete, by Wilkinson and Co., Wigan. 12 other engines, by various makers and sizes. Two magnificent wrought-iron, trellis-work pit headgears, 72ft. high, fitted with four 16ft. pulleys for round and flat ropes., wrought-iron lattice work, by J. C. Stevenson and Co., Preston. 6,200 yards of laid railway, various weights and sections, in lots to suit purchasers, and in good condition. 40 10-ton, nearly new, box waggons, made by the Midland Railway Carriage and Wagon Co., in splendid order....'
