1903 Typhoo Tea was launched by John Sumner of Birmingham.

1905 The business was founded by Sir John Sumner, for the blending, packing and supplying Typhoo tea to retailers[1]

1941 Company voluntarily wound up[2]; the company was reconstructed and transferred to Typhoo Tea Ltd
