Strand Electric were the UK's and Europe's principal manufacturers of stage lighting and theatre equipment.

Their head of R&D Frederick Bentham was the designer of the Light Console and many Spotlights. They pioneered the use of die-cast mouldings for spotlight construction.

1937 Manufacturing electrical engineers. [1]

WWII: designed and manufactured TAT training simulators for the Royal Navy.

1968 Acquired by Rank Organisation[2].

Now exist only as a brand name.
