Stephen Wilcox, Jr. (February 12, 1830 – November 27, 1893) of Babcock and Wilcox Co

1880 George Herman Babcock, Stephen Wilcox and Nathaniel Pratt co-invented and patented a safer water tube steam boiler

Founded the Babcock and Wilcox boiler company.
