1874 Exhibited one of Cushell's patent self-acting dampers[1]

1879 Matthew Henry Simpson became managing partner of Sharpe, Simpson and Co

1886 The partnership with Francis Sharpe was dissolved; Francis Sharpe continued the business[2]
