1866 John Waddington senior set up as consultant in London and later took his sons into the business.

1880-4 Pupil of Samuel W. Johnson at the Midland Railway Co

1887 of Midland Railway Loco Works, Derby, when he joined the Inst of Civil Engineers

1888 Joined the Inst of Mech Engineers

1891 Civil engineer, employee, living with his parents in Sydenham[2]

1901 Civil engineer, boarding in Croydon[3]

1906 Died; buried in Lambeth[4]
