1861 Samuel Cotterill was born on 17th April 1861 at Townwell Fold, Wolverhampton

It is thought he founded the works making the Onward bicycle

1884 Married 30th March, profession bicycle maker.

1897 May. Pamphlet entitled 'A Little Guide to Motor Cars' by S. Cotterill and R. Sidney Mason.[1]
