Sydney John Young (1887-1955)

1953 Head of Department of Automobile Engineering, Loughborough College. Born London, 4th February, 1887. Educated at King's School, Warwick; Birmingham University. Joined Daimler Co., Coventry in 1909, and in 1911 became Assistant to Chief Engineer, Wolseley Motors. In 1921 joined staff of Bradford Technical College as lecturer in automobile engineering. Appointed to present position, 1925.
