1845 Presumably this business was taken over by his elder son, Robert, after his father's death - Robert West
Subsequently the business may have become West Brothers and Co, when Robert's brother, John reached his maturity.
Then Henry Gregson became a partner and the firm became West and Gregson
1851 West and Gregson exhibited model meter for gas works at 1851 Exhibition.
c.1852 At some point Robert left the business
Succeeded by West Brothers and Co
On the death of his father, John West took over and brought Mr Henry Gregson into the firm - the business was conducted under the name of West and Gregson.
