1898 Died. 'OBITUARY. MR. ROBERT TANNETT. OF LEEDS. We have record the death, the age of 68. Mr Robert Tannett, of Rose Mount. Chapel Allerton. Leeds. The deceased gentleman was the eldest win of the late Mr. Thomas Tannett, one the founders of the firm of Smith, Beacock, and Tannett, machine tool makers and engineers, Water lane For a good many years Mr. Tannett worked his father, and, in conjunction with the late Mr. Benjamin Walker, he subsequently founded the firm of Tannett, Walker, and Co., the well known engineers and boiler makers, Leeds, but severed his connection with this firm about seven ten years ago. He never took any part in public affairs, his health and disposition alike precluding him from doing so. He had been in failing health for nearly a year, and died early hour yesterday morning. He will interred at wood Cemetery on Monday next, at noon'[5]
