1824 Robert Sibley, 39 Great Ormond Street, Surveyor of the County of Middlesex, Engineer, became a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.[1]

1832 Shown as district surveyor of St. James's, Clerkenwell.[2]
1842 He states 'I have been engaged as a surveyor and engineer upwards of 30 years, and am employed by the county of Middlesex. I have the management of the Imperial and Phoenix Gas Companies, and have been extensively engaged in Gas Companies at various places. I have examined the accounts of the Oxford Gas Company...'
1849 April 5th. Buried age 59. Of 39 Great Ormond Street.
1849 April. Notice regarding the position of surveyor for Clerkenwell and Robert Sibley, deceased.[3]
