c1826 Born the son of Robert Robey, a Tailor and his wife Elizabeth

1841 Living at Park Hill, Radford, Lenton (age c15), a Smith. With his parents Robert (age 45), a Tailor, and Elizabeth (age c45) and their other children [1]

1851 Living at 5 Smiths Row, Lincoln (age 25 born New Radford, Notts), a Machinist. With his wife Emma (age 25 born France, British subject) and their children Elizabeth (age 3 born Birmingham) and Robert (age 1 born Lincoln). [2]

1861 Living at 367 High Street, Lincoln (age 35 born Nottingham), Engineer and Iron Founder employing 114 men and boys. With wife Emma (age 35) and children Clara (age 9), Albert (age 5), Eleanor (age 2) and Arthur E. (age 5 months). Two servants. [3]

1865 Robert Robey, Robey and Co, Agricultural Engine Works, 367 High Street, Lincoln.[4]

1871 Living at 367 High Street, Lincoln (age 45 born Radford, Nottingham), Engineer, Head of firm employing 503 men and boys. With wife Ann (age 35) and children Robert (age 21 born Lincoln), Engineer; Clara (age 19); Cecelia (age 17); Albert (age 15 born Lincoln); Eleanor (age 13); Arthur (age 11 born Lincoln) and Amelia (age 8). Also father-in-law Joseph Landow (age 67). One servant. [5]

1876 March 6th. Died at Upper College Street, Nottingham, engineer of Lincoln, aged 50. [6]
