1899 November. Resigns as MD of the Motor Car Co.[2]

1904 'FORD, R. Moffat, 168, Shaftesbury Avenue, W.C. Cars: 10 and 20-h.p. Decauville. Was assistant secretary of the original "Motor-Car Club" prior to and during the Imperial Institute Exhibition, 1896. Is managing director of the Motor-Car Co., Ltd. Originator of "nonstop" runs, and directed the 1,000-mile and Edinburgh-London non-stop runs of Decauville cars.' [3]
