ROBERT HARKNESS TWIGG, born at Dalkey, Co. Dublin, in 1839, died at Kingstown on the 15th June, 1915.
For many years previous to his death he had been, Consulting Engineer to the Kimberley Waterworks Company.
In earlier life he was engaged on railway surveys and construction in England and Scotland, Bridgwater Canal and Penzance harbour works, and railways in Venezuela.
He designed and built a lighthouse on Sambrero Island, West Indies, and was associated with the design of the Karachi breakwater.
He was elected an Associate on the 7th December, 1869, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 25th February, 1879.
