Robert Godfrey (1839-1912)

ROBERT GODFREY, born at Stamford on the 27th April, 1839, died at Alne, York, on the 5th July, 1912.
His first appointment was that of Surveyor to the Kendal and Sedbergh Sanitary Authorities.
In 1882 he became Engineer and Surveyor of King’s Norton, near Birmingham, carrying out sewerage, roads, and other works. He was also Surveyor to the Northfield Highway Board.
Of late years failing health obliged him to relinquish professional pursuits.
Mr. Godfrey was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 10th April, 1888.
