1871 Living at Belle Vue, Bury: Richard Walker (age 57 born Bury), Chairman of Bury Improvement Commission, Engineer and Ironfounder Master employing 245 men and 56 boys under the age of 21 years. Married but no wife listed. With two daughters and son Roger Walker (age 24 born Bury), Clerk to his father.[1]
1890 Died. 'The death is announced of Mr. Richard Walker, of Bury, aged years. Mr. Walker, whose father was the first member of Parliament for Bury, was one of the best-known and most highly esteemed natives of that town.'[2]
