1817 Richard Edward Rippon was born in London, son of Elizabeth Rippon and her husband Richard Rippon[1]

1843 After her husband's death, Elizabeth married Edward John Dent, so Richard became a stepson of Dent.

1850 Married Marianna Frederica Cowslade in Reading[2]

1851 Birth of daughter Anne Elizabeth Dent in London[3]

1853 inherited the premises of E. J. Dent and Co at Cockspur Street; took the Dent surname in accordance with Edward's will

1853 Birth of daughter Mary Louisa Dent in London[4]

1854 Birth of son Edward John Dent in Bayswater[5]

1856 Chronometer, watch and clock maker, of 33 Cockspur St[6]

1856 Birth of daughter Amelia Maria Dent in London[7]

1869 Marianna died in Isleworth[11]
