  • An article in The Marine Engineer, 1st May 1898, featured a high speed enclosed vertical single cylinder steam engine manufactured by the Rapide Engine Co. 30 Brunswick Street was evidently an office address rather than a factory, and it is not clear whether the engines were made by the company or bought in.
