1741 Advertisements [1]: 'This is to give notice THAT at the Foundery at Skinners Burn [Skinner Burn], Newcastle, all Persons who have Occasion may be furnished with Pots and Yetlings, Bushes for Wains, Carts and Coach Wheels, Dyers-plates, and Plates for Oat-kilns, Hatters-basons, Chimney- backs, Cylinder-bottoms, Pestons and Grate-bars for Fire-engines, Weights, Leadmill-castings, and several other Sorts of Castings in the Foundery Way, at reasonable Rates; and the said Ralph Harle hopes that his Friends will continue their Favours, and they may depend upon having their Orders duly executed on as reasonable Terms as anywhere else, by applying or directing their Orders to Joseph Blenkinsop in Newcastle.
P.S. I thought it convenient to give this Notice to all my Friends, because Mr Ra. Harle, who I took into Partnership with me some Years ago, and allowed him a Sallery for taking Care of that Affair, and to whom Orders (for such Goods) were generally sent, has given me Notice, that he, the said Mr Ra. Harle, intends to decline or give over the Partnership on the 30th of May next. J. BLENKINSOP.
